A 4.5 out of 5 stars is the rating the Bissell Total Floors received from the sample 100 reviews we looked at. This makes it one of the best rated vacuums in its' class, which is why we give it a very positive review. One comment we noticed pretty much summed up our thoughts: "It sucks up everything I put in its' path! It doesn't blow the dust and dirt around like my old vacuum cleaner. It also has a setting for non-carpet floors that works terrific."
With our review of this upright vacuum we found several positive and some negative qualities that we needed to point out.
Some of the positives are: very good suction power, not overly loud during operation, looks like it will handle a lot of cleaning abuse, filters out the air well, easy to adjust the height, and we really liked the washable pre-engine filter.
Some of the negative things we saw with this vacuum cleaner are: the HEPA filter must be periodically replaced whereas some brands have lifetime filters, no variable power settings, plastic wheels may not be good for use on delicate hardwood floors, and the hose length could be longer.
All in all, we feel that the Bissell Total Floors is a great value in its' class. When compared to other vacuum cleaners that can clean multiple floors it is less expensive and has just as many features. We feel that the positives outweight the negatives and recommend these vacuums to anyone looking for a good, affordable cleaner for their entire home.
