Dirt Devil Reaction And Quick Vac Compared

The Dirt Devil Reaction vacuum cleaner is a new and quite advanced upright, sporting many improved features over traditional uprights. And since this is one of their latest products we thought we would compare it to their lightweight Quick Vac, to help you determine if you need the extra power of the Reaction. While we have only limited experience with the new Reaction, we have logged many hours with the Quick Vac. Let's first give a quick rundown of the notable features of each.

The Dirt Devil Reaction Vacuum

We must say that this is one high powered vacuum cleaner. And while we can't give a full review of it just yet we can say that we are impressed with its' cleaning abilities. They have incorporated their new technology into it called 'Dual Cyclonic' that gives a lasting suction power, even after alot of use. Essentially these vacuums divide the air up into two different cyclones moving at much higher velocity than only one. The result is the separation of the dust particles from the air leaving everything unclogged and working at full capacity. When we used we noticed a difference in our carpets right away. Here is a list of the advancements with the Reaction:

Dirt Devil Reaction

  • A new and patented D2 (Dual Cyclonic) technology for sustained suction power
  • A HEPA filter that traps virtually 100% of dust and other allergens
  • A filterless, easy to empty cup...no filter to fight with here
  • A rotating power brush which is perfect for cleaning stairs, furniture, or other hard to reach places

The Dynamite Quick Vac

Our review of this product is that it's been one of our favorite Dirt Devil vacuums for many reasons. It's a lightweight cleaner, but still has enough power to clean an entire house. If you have ever vacuumed an entire house you know that a heavy vacuum cleaner can be taxing on your arms, shoulder, and back. A big plus for the quick vac is that it is lighter than other upright models, the Reaction included. The Dynamite is quite a change from the vacuums of old, ones that your parents used while you were growing up. They were bulky and heavy, clogging up frequently and going through bags left and right. The modern vacuum has solved most of those problems to varying degrees. Here are some of the highlights of its' performance:

Dirt Devil Dynamite QuickVac
Easy to use and easy to store. Browse for the current pricing here.

  • Very lightweight and compact
  • Familiar Dirt Devil durability so you know the motor will last
  • Scatter guard nozzle traps dirt on hard surfaces...easy to use on both hard floors and carpets
  • Handle slides down for easy storage in small places
  • Also has HEPA filtration to completely remove dirt, dust, pollen, and other allergens from your home

So I guess the burning question is should you buy a Reaction or a Quick Vac? It really depends on your needs. If you want a powerful vacuum that will easily clean your entire home, then a Dirt Devil Reaction is just for you. The new vacuums that employ some sort of dust separation are the latest leap forward. Since they don't clog they retain maximum power for a long time. But if you don't need all that power, or maybe if you have a mixture of hard floors and carpets than the Quick Vac is right for you. Plus these cleaners are much cheaper in price.
