Amazing suction power and worth the price

I needed a new vacuum cleaner and my choices came down to the Dyson DC28 Animal upright or a similarly priced Miele canister. After some consideration I went with the Dyson because I have more carpets than hardwoods and my home is quite large. After using it for a bit I can say it has unreal suction. We have a long haired dog who does shed often and I like to keep things clean, though it is hard. As soon as I vacuumed the first time with the DC 28 it filled the dirt chamber up to capacity. I did it again the next day and it filled it almost half way up. My last vacuum was really leaving a lot behind. My carpets look as new as when they were installed and I honestly cannot remember them looking this good.
I read some other reviews that said this vacuum cleaner is heavy but I don’t think it’s any heavier than any other upright. It’s not hard to maneuver at all but this model does have some beef behind it. That’s why it cleans so well, it’s not a lightweight piece of junk that leaves dirt behind. This is a powerful cleaning machine.
There are 4 different height adjustments as well. A bare floor, low pile, medium pile, and high pile. The bare floor is the lowest and doesn’t use the beater bar so you will want this if you have anything that can be damaged. You can really feel the suction in your hands when you use it. In my opinion, it is named appropriately as it is an Animal. Another thing I like is the long electric cord. I think that’s 35 feet and I have no problems reaching all the rooms. I like the attachments for cleaning other things as well. The crevice tool, stiff brush tool, flat out tool work wonders on many items. The HEPA filter is supposedly lifetime and it’s simple to wash. Overall the filtration is outstanding which is a big reason I went with the Dyson DC28. I have no complaints and highly recommend it.

Terrific canister vacuum

I needed to buy a new canister vacuum cleaner so I spent some serious time reading up on the latest models. After reading many reviews I decided I wanted to spend the extra money and get a Miele, but I wasn’t sure which one. I was fed up with buy a new cleaner every year or so and I needed something that would last a long time. Miele has the reputation for doing just that with their solid construction and overall reliability.
The S2180 Titan seemed like the right choice for our home for a few reasons. The Power Head works great on our carpets and the HEPA filter makes the air seem much fresher than before. It is almost like putting an air freshener in every room. This canister also strikes a nice balance between cleaning ability and price. After using it for a while I now remember why I disliked vacuuming so much. No matter how many times I went over the floor it needed to be done again soon. However, now I see that the house stays clean for longer periods of time. I think the carpets are getting deep cleaned and everything on our hard floors is sucked right up. With a dog and a cat this is very important. The Titan is also easy to maneuver around our many pieces of furniture. I can’t believe how light it is even though it has so much power.
One thing I don’t like about it is the somewhat short cord. It has a 29 foot radius but this really isn’t a lot when you start using it. I think this is because of the small design as there isn’t much room for the electrical cord to be stored. Plus, the tools don’t seem to cover much ground either but again, I think this is because of the small size of this vacuum. This isn’t a big deal though because the suction power really makes up for it.
I’m pretty excited about the Miele S2180 Titan. I think I’ll save money with it in the end as I don’t think I’ll be replacing it for a long time. The bottom line is Miele vacuums last a long time. That’s what you pay for. If that is in your budget then I highly recommend any of their cleaners.

Best canister vacuum I’ve ever used

I have never sent in a review for anything before but I felt compelled to rave about the Sebo K2 canister vacuum. This is a great cleaner, the best one I’ve ever used. It is very compact and light, yet it has enough power to pull dirt out of my carpets. Now, I don’t have thick carpets but I feel that this machine would work on them as well. The air belt is also really innovative and seems to give it the added performance over other similar vacuums.
Another thing I like is the exhaust is contained so you do not reclean the same area over and over. The attachments work well on our furniture and they are easily stored when not in use. I haven’t found any surface in my home that the K2 won’t clean. Overall this is the best vacuum I’ve owned, hands down. I’d buy another one in a heartbeat.

Plenty of power for vacuuming the car

Like this vacuum quite a bit

My husband and I recently bought the Electrolux Harmony Ultra Quiet because we wanted a canister vacuum cleaner that could clean well but wasn’t overly loud or heavy. After a lot of looking around we found that Electrolux builds quality vacuums for much less money than some of the other top brands. I have to say that this is a well designed machine and it actually makes our vacuuming chores fun.
As advertised it has a very quiet motor and does have good suction, better than we expected. It’s simple to change the attachments and I like the different motor speed controls. The telescoping wand is also pretty long and makes reaching high places no problem. When you carry it up and down the stairs you will notice how lightweight it really is. Electrolux really builds quality canister vacuums, I have to mention that again!
My one complaint is the dust bags are small but they do a great job on dirt, dog hair, and other nasty things that build up around our house. As with other canister vacuum cleaners it really shines on the hard floors but it can tackle some carpets. We have almost all tile and hardwoods though so I can’t comment on that much. Overall it is efficient and easy to use. I will hold judgement on the durability until I’ve used it for a while.
This is my first submitted review but I felt compelled to tell others about this great vacuum. I really love the Harmony Ultra Quiet. If you don’t want to spend the money on the highend canisters then this is the model I recommend.

Deep cleaning machine for my carpets

The Hoover F5914 Steamvac cleans my carpets very well. On my most difficult carpet area, this cleaner did as good a job as the one that I rented before. This is the biggest reason I bought it because I didn’t want to keep spending money renting a steam vacuum every few months (we have two big dogs).
For best results try to make your gallon of water quite hot and run your regular vacuum cleaner over the area first. This will reduce the hair and other stuff from getting sucked into the SteamVac. You can also pre-treat any heavily soiled area first to loosen up the stain. I find that this works great and lets the Hoover come through and finish it off.
Also, exercise a little patience when cleaning with it. Go slow and make sure you get the bad areas thoroughly. This will reduce your chances of having to redo it after it dries. I also like to clean my rugs every couple of months or so, just so that soiled dirt look doesn’t build up. I’m sure I could wait longer but then it would take more work to really get it clean. The clean surge also is another weapon you can use should the need arise.
Overall I recommend the Hoover SteamVac for anybody who wants to keep their rugs looking like new, and especially for those homes with pets in them. I have a lot of fun using it and making my house look better than when we moved in. Plus, after only a couple uses it more than paid for itself when compared to renting.

I use the Miele Twist everyday!

There are many options available on the Miele S7210 Twist upright vacuum cleaner depending on what you need to clean in your home. It has a switch button for hardwood floors, carpets, curtains, furniture, and more. The suction is also very powerful and I find that it powers through anything in my deep carpets. But, the biggest selling point of these vacuums and the main reason I bought it is the swivel neck. This is a great feature as it allows me to steer in any direction I need, around anything in my path. I can even lay the Twist down flat which is unlike any other upright that I looked at.
The front wheels are caster and they rotate 360 degrees as well. This also aids in the maneuverability and is a big help around my home. The movements are very fluid and really don’t take much effort at all. My prior vacuum was difficult at times because I had to stop and turn it when going around the furniture. This isn’t the case with this one. Kudos to Miele for figuring out a great solution.
I also have no doubt that this will last for many years. I know all about Miele engineering and am thrilled to have found a good deal on the S7210. I suggest looking around a bit though I found a great price on amazon. Overall I highly recommend it and now use it just about everyday for maintenance. My house has never been cleaner than it is today.

Electrolux is still the best vacuum

I have been using Electrolux vacuums for most of my life so when I needed a new canister I opted for their UltraSilencer Green. I liked the fact that it wasn’t big and bulky as it’s not easy for me to get up and down stairs like it used to be. I have mostly ceramic tile and wood floors with a couple carpets so I needed a vacuum cleaner that could handle everything. My house is also two stories so again, it had to be fairly lightweight.
We also have 2 dogs in our house so we prefer to have dust bags in our vacuum which the UltraSilencer does. I also like that it is built from mostly recycled materials, and boy is it quiet. It is much quieter than our last canister which I didn’t think was loud at all. Other things I like are the carrying handle, the adjustable suction, and the small footprint that it takes up. The suction adjustment is finger controlled which makes it easy to go from one floor to another. I can also tuck it away in the back of our closet with no problem when I’m done.
Underneath cabinets, chairs, beds, and against the walls are no problems with this Electrolux vacuum. I haven’t found anything I don’t like about it but I don’t expect to. The price was just right for us as well. Highly recommended.

Lightweight and powerful little vacuum

I researched canister vacuums for a long time before I decided to buy the Miele S4212 Polaris. This vacuum cleaner is actually pretty small and compact, and it doesn’t weigh much either. You can put it on its’ back for easy storage and use on uneven surfaces like stairs. I also find that the onboard tools work great and are easy to get to. However, the best thing I like about this Miele is the telescoping wand as I can clean my drapes and other high corners without much work.
The head works pretty good on my carpets though they aren’t very thick but it has so much suction that I don’t think it would be a problem. It really shines on my hard floors as well which is why most people buy a canister. I have a good mixture of floors so I needed something that was flexible enough to handle it. The S4212 is just what I needed in my home. If you have more rugs you might opt for the Turbo head but I didn’t need it.
I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants one of the best canister vacuums you can buy. Miele is always considered a top company and if you read any other reviews you will see why. I know because I read many of them before buying.
