My prior vacuum cleaner was a very expensive upright that lasted for many years. It finally stopped working so I decided to replace it with something a little more affordable. Plus, we recently moved and have some hard floors so I decided to get a canister vacuum. The Bissell Pet Hair Eraser caught my eye because I have two dogs and a cat, and am always struggling with hair and dander.

Even though I would consider this a lower end vacuum it really gets the job done. It lifts all of the hair out of the carpets and the attachments do a great job on the furniture. The little rubbery pet contour tool really sucks up the hair from the fabric. I no longer have to use a hair brush every day.

Sometimes I do need to go over the spot a few times to get all of the hair up but for just over $100 what do you expect. The HEPA filter seems to work good and the suction stays pretty constant throughout use. I like it and would buy one again.
