For anybody thinking about steam cleaning their carpets you have to first realize that it will be a lot of work to do your entire house, even with a vacuum cleaner as good as the Bissell ProHeat CleanShot. I actually spent an entire day the first time I used it but the results were well worth it. It more than paid for itself when I think of what it would have cost to hire a professional, and actually this Bissell cleans better than the pros (and I know because I've used them in the past).

The first thing I noticed when using the ProHeat CleanShot is that the carpets dry out very fast. This is essential in our busy household as we can only keep the kids off the rugs for so long. Overall, the floors are pretty easy to get clean with this. You just fill up the solution bottle in the back, add some water to the front water bottle, turn on the power and heat, and just wait a minute. The steam cleaner is now ready to go. I find that in no time the dirt is sucked right out of the carpet and it is dry in only a couple hours. I really am happy with the results I get.

The stairs were a bit tougher for me as it requires using the hose and the tools. The main reason it is harder is you can't take advantage of the weight of the machine so you have to do some manual scrubbing. While it took some work it was well worth it. I'm very happy with the way the stairs came out and I'm thrilled to have a steam vacuum cleaner that can tackle them.

Overall the Bissell ProHeat CleanShot is an amazing machine. My carpets look new and they dry very fast after use. My entire house just smells like new when I'm done cleaning with it. It is well designed and has the tools you need to get all your carpeting clean. I'm thrilled with it and would buy it again.
