Before we purchased the Bissell Total Floors Velocity upright vacuum cleaner we read many positive and negative reviews about it. Most of the bad reviews were about how heavy it was but that didn't concern me because we were replacing our old kirby with it and that was one of the heaviest vacuum cleaners I've ever seen! So needless to say we decided to go ahead and purchase it. We absolutely love it.

We live in a 3 story home with hardwoods downstairs, an area rug and carpet upstairs, and berber carpeting in the basement level. It vacuums perfectly on all different surfaces. It also works great for animal hair as the turbo brush attatchment is a perfect tool for pets. I love the fact that it is a bagless vacuum so we can actually see the amount of dirt is being picked up and trust me it really sucks that dirt up. Truthfully we were a bit disgusted in the amount of dirt it was vacuuming out of our carpets.

The attachments are very easy to use and the brush is simple to turn on and off. You may find the hose a bit heavy but if you leave the vacuum cleaner at the bottom of the stairs the hose will stretch all the way up. This has been one of my favorite vacuums, I truly hope that it will last me many years. I definitely recommend it if you are not too concerned about the weight which is really not as heavy as you think it may be. I am 8 months pregnant and have no trouble carrying it up and down the stairs. Hope my review was helpful to you with your search.
