Deep cleaning machine for my carpets

The Hoover F5914 Steamvac cleans my carpets very well. On my most difficult carpet area, this cleaner did as good a job as the one that I rented before. This is the biggest reason I bought it because I didn’t want to keep spending money renting a steam vacuum every few months (we have two big dogs).

For best results try to make your gallon of water quite hot and run your regular vacuum cleaner over the area first. This will reduce the hair and other stuff from getting sucked into the SteamVac. You can also pre-treat any heavily soiled area first to loosen up the stain. I find that this works great and lets the Hoover come through and finish it off.

Also, exercise a little patience when cleaning with it. Go slow and make sure you get the bad areas thoroughly. This will reduce your chances of having to redo it after it dries. I also like to clean my rugs every couple of months or so, just so that soiled dirt look doesn’t build up. I’m sure I could wait longer but then it would take more work to really get it clean. The clean surge also is another weapon you can use should the need arise.

Overall I recommend the Hoover SteamVac for anybody who wants to keep their rugs looking like new, and especially for those homes with pets in them. I have a lot of fun using it and making my house look better than when we moved in. Plus, after only a couple uses it more than paid for itself when compared to renting.

Great vacuum cleaner with a little downside

First off, the Hoover S3670 Windtunnel Anniversary Edition canister vacuum cleaner is great. It really has amazing suction at a relatively low price. I also find that it cleans carpets just as good as hard floors which is not always the case with canister vacuums. One thing to think about though is if you are using it on a cheapo throw rug you should turn off the beater bar. I have ruined more than one of my carpets this way. This really was my fault though and not something I can blame Hoover for.

I like the fact that it is bagged as well. I know that some people prefer bagless but I find that bags work better because they seal up air tight. It also cleans crevices and difficult to reach places due to its’ low profile. I really haven’t found much that I don’t like but there are a couple small things.

For starters the bare floor attachment doesn’t work that well. I went to Sears and bought their unit for a couple dollars. It works much better. The beater bar does not have an adjustable height so if you have a thicker carpet I would advise against using it. The hose also seems to be smaller in diameter than some other canister vacuum cleaners I looked at but it does fit the attachments well. Doesn’t seem to affect performance but I’m not picking up larger debris either. Just something to consider.

I used a Kenmore for many years and thought it was great until I bought the Hoover S3670. My new Hoover Windtunnel is the best I’ve used even though there are some things they could improve on. For the money it is hard to find a better canister vacuum.

Our house has three different levels to clean so we were interested in lightweight canister vacuum cleaners, which led us to the Hoover Windtunnel bagless model. Our prior one was also a canister but it was a cheaper model and didn’t really clean the floors well. After reading many consumer reviews at amazon.com we decided to give this Hoover a try. It just had so many good recommendations and seemed to be what we needed.

We have had it for around three months and couldn’t be more pleased with it. It has a very powerful motor and gives us several different options for suction power, via the buttons on the handle. Another button will also activate the carpet beaters so you can easily go from carpets to bare floors and back again. The canister also has a useful compartment that holds the crevice tool and brush attachment. The metal wand will detach from the floor attachment via another release lever so you can reach those hard places like shelves and air vents. It’s obvious that the engineers put some thought into this design and also put some time in vacuuming with it.

In our home we have a cat and a dog so we get quite a bit of hair on everything. We are simply amazed at the amount of hair and dander that this vacuum picks up. When we empty out the canister we definitely know that we have pets. One thing to note is that we don’t notice any odor from the air expelled from the filters. These are also easy to clean as they are washable. We just make sure we keep them clean after each vacuuming session. This keeps the Hoover performing like a new vacuum cleaner every time we fire it up.

In our opinion Hoover had built the perfect canister vacuum cleaner for us and we recommend the Windtunnel to anyone with pets, stairs, and various types of floors.

This Hoover is one powerful upright without a lot of noise

I recently bought the Hoover Windtunnel Anniversary bagless upright vacuum cleaner and have to say that it is the best vacuum I’ve owned hands down. I normally buy the cheapest vacuums but decided to take a step up and get something that would last.

I looked around quite a bit and did some research on the many uprights that you can buy today. I didn’t want to spend a lot for a Dyson so I kept looking for something that would clean great without a huge price tag. Hoover vacuums always seem to rank well so I started reading reviews for this Windtunnel and loved what I was reading. I found a good deal on it at amazon so I decided to order one. It was shipped very quickly to my door and was assembled in less time than it took to get it out of the box. All I had to do was put the handle on…nice!

Since we have a cat and a dog I needed something with a quality hepa filter. Plus I didn’t want to buy a bagged model so we opted for the bagless version of it. Pushing it is almost like using a self propelled vacuum cleaner as it just glides across the carpets. When we first used it we found that it picked up tons of hair and dust that we didn’t even know was there. The dirt sensor is an interesting feature as I’ve never had one before. I do like that it tells me when the carpet is clean. It’s also a very quiet vacuum even though you can feel the power this thing has. The suction is very nice and the attachments do a great job when used. They seem to have more power than the ones on my prior Eureka.

The dirt chamber is pretty easy to clean out as you just remove it from the machine, hit the “open” button, and watch the dirt fall into the trash. A few taps on the side will loosen up the stubborn stuff, and even get the main filter that resides in the chamber clean. You can also spin this filter periodically to remove the junk that won’t fall out. It’s a pretty unique design that seems to work well. Thumbs up to Hoover for that.

Our home seems to smell better and looks much cleaner after using this upright vacuum. The price is good too, given all of the performance that it possesses. And the attachments that come with it are a bonus as they actually work well, which was a surprise to me. I didn’t find any faults with it at all.

Price is right and it vacuums like a pro

I Purchased the Hoover Tempo Widepath upright vacuum cleaner based upon its reviews as well as on the performance and superior quality of a Hoover canister model bought for use at a different residence. They build awesome vacuums and the cost was right for me.

There are a lot of characteristics to like about this vacuum. Compared to my father’s overpriced Kirby, this cleaner is much less awkward to use, provides economical on-side storage for its attachments, operates strongly with less effort, is light and simple to stash away. It lifts up everything as well as reaches the edges and into nooks easily. The bag capacity is more than satisfactory for numerous complete vacuuming sessions of a 600 sq ft apartment. One negative is it’s a little louder than other vacs, and the hose should expand to a higher degree than it presently does, which would make utilizing the attachments less demanding.

Overall, I still rank this vacuum at 5 stars as it cleans circles around similar models from Dirt Devil, Bissell, and others.

One of the best upright vacuum cleaners

I recently bought the Hoover Cyclonic ‘Platinum Collection’ bagless upright vacuum cleaner for my home when my old model broke down and stopped its’ suction completely. While it was supposed to last longer I wasn’t surprised that it did stop working because I didn’t pay much for it. This time I wanted one of the better vacuums so I went with this Hoover.

I went online and started doing some research (reading reviews and ratings, checking specs, etc) and I tried to find one that was very sturdy, had extra tools, and worked great for pets as I have a couple of larger dogs. I really liked some of the earlier reviews I read for this cleaner and also was thrilled at how it had cyclonic action. Hoover seems to know what they are doing with their Windtunnels so I thought this one wouldn’t disappoint and I was right.

This thing sucks up more dirt, dog hair, and pet dander from our carpets than any other upright vacuum I’ve owned and believe me I’ve owned quite a few. All of the extra tools are a big plus as we use them each time we clean the house. When you have pets you really need something that can reach a variety of surfaces easily and the UH70015 does just that. The tools combined with the long hose are a winning combination in my book.

The Hoover Platinum Collection also looks great and the 6 year warranty is great too. Overall it is a great machine and one that I recommend to others. If you are looking for a high quality vacuum without a super high price then this is your machine.

Hard to believe this upright doesn’t cost more money

The Hoover U5491-900 Windtunnel Anniversary Edition is a bagged upright vacuum cleaner that provides a lot of value for a fairly low price. When you compare it to other vacuums that have similar features it is really much more affordable, which was important to our family during this economy. We bought this vacuum to replace our older Oreck XL and found that this machine is a big step up in all the important categories: power, attachments, and ease of use.

Some of the positives we really like about the Hoover is a lightweight design, excellent combination of attachments to clean a variety of things around your home, the Dirt Finder seems to work quite well as it lets you know when your carpet is free from dirt, and the suction on it is very powerful. The power is actually more than what I was expected from a vacuum cleaner in this price range.

The only real negative I have about the Windtunnel is the hose that comes with it. It is not very long and not that flexible. When I use the attachments the upright design tends to want to tip over if I pull on it. It’s not that big of a deal as I just keep an eye on it. Hoover also has a deluxe 20 foot stretch hose that will probably take care of the problem. I’m gonna give this a try as it looks like a great addition.

Overall we couldn’t be happier with the Hoover Windtunnel Anniversary bagged upright. We recommend it to our family and friends whenever we get the chance. If you are looking for a new vacuum and don’t want to spend an arm and a leg then give this model a look. You might surprise yourself with how much you like it.

I was surprised by this Hoover upright

We vacuum our home every week and our old Hoover needed to be replaced so we opted for the Elite bagless upight vacuum cleaner from a company we have trusted for years. I personally researched all of their vacuums and felt that this machine offered the most cleaning ability for the money. Many reviews were glowing so I decided to buy one.

I will say that overall this vacuum is worth the relatively low price. It has a lot of suction and was very easy for me to assemble. I ordered it online and had it at my door in a few days. We were even able to use our old wands with it from our prior Hoover and the upholstery tool works great on our house.

I vacuumed my entire house and was amazed at the stuff I pulled out of the carpets. I guess our old Windtunnel was laboring because this thing pulled quite a bit of dirt and other junk up. The attachments work pretty good too as I was able to get our stairs cleaner than they had ever been. The hose has as much suction as the vacuum itself which is a nice change to say the least.

Overall I think this is one of the best vacuum cleaners in this price range. It is bagless and is simple to empty, and it cleans our rugs better than any model we have ever owned. The HEPA seems to work well but that is kinda hard to tell from just looking. If you want to save money over something like a Dyson then the Hoover Elite Auto Rewind is a great choice. Hoovers have been around for as long as I can remember so you know the company stands behind their vacuums too. Our family is very happy with this purchase.

Low quality vacuum that is built cheap

I recently went back to the Hoover brand and bought a widepath, bagless, self-propelled upright Hoover. BIG mistake. It is extremely noisy and my ears literally ring after vacuuming my house. The attachments fall out of the holders on the back, the hose comes loose from its connection and it’s too short to be much use with the attachments, When using the attachments, the brush continues revolving and mars the floors where the machine sits. It’s messy to empty the canister. Overall I hate this vacuum cleaner and the quality is very cheap.
