Pretty solid with more suction power than you think

I decided to buy the Oreck Quest Pro a few weeks ago because I wanted a canister that had more power than most others. I had an Oreck upright for a while and loved it but when it was time to replace it I decided on a canister. We have pretty much every type of floor in our home so we needed something that was versatile. These vacuums sure did fit the bill.
Overall it is built very well but that's what you would expect from an Oreck, and the reason why you pay more for one.
I cannot believe how amazing this vacuum is!

I am a 55 year old female, how has been cleaning for many years and purchased a large amount of various vacuum cleaners. from Electrolux, Kirby, Hover, Panasonic, this list goes on and on. Well last December 2009, my Panasonic finally succumbed to her death. I was face with the question: what do I replace her with? I used the internet and began my search. I stumbled on Oreck's offer to try it FREE for 30 days if not satisfied simply return it. No harm no foul! I noticed that if you purchased on line you was also getting some pretty sweet FREE gifts. I did not have the time to wait for shipping so I contacted a local Oreck store in SLC, Utah.
Quality vacuum cleaner that is easy to maneuver around

I bought the Oreck XL 2000 upright vacuum cleaner earlier this year and have found many things that I like about it, but also a few that I don't. I found some positive reviews and some negative ones, but my experiences have been mostly positive. I'll start my review with some of the things I like about it.
For starters it is a very light upright and I find that I can even take it with me when I need to vacuum the office at my shop. It is also really easy to go low enough to get underneath our bed and some of the higher furniture in our home.
The Oreck Halo works great for my allergies

I have pretty bad allergies to dust mites and pet dander, and have tried many different vacuums to no avail. The Oreck Halo is an upright vacuum cleaner designed to take care of allergens in a different way than you are used to. With a unique UV light underneath it is supposed to kill off all of those pesky critters that you cannot see and from my experiences it does a good job.
I cannot believe that it actually worked as my brother in law was kidding me that he would just sell me a different vacuum with a flashlight taped to the bottom.
