Dyson DC25 Animal Ball Upright Vacuum Cleaners

Great for that annoying pet hair

If you are somebody who has pets with longer hair then you need the Dyson DC25 Animal, simple as that. After just one use you will be amazed at all of the hair and other nasty stuff you pull up and out of your carpets. We have two dogs who shed quite a bit so a quality vacuum cleaner is a must. Our prior one just couldn't keep up with our household so it was time to step up to the best. I did a ton of research and decided on the Dyson Animal since it was built to tackle pet hair.

Like a lot of people that buy new vacuums, I decided to use my old one first and then this new upright to see just what it would pull up. I was shocked that the Animal pulled a huge amount of hair, dust, and other assorted things up but the carpets looked like new. It was then that I knew I made the right choice. I do find that I have to empty out the dirt canister much more often now but I view that as a good thing. I am sure that over time everything will just become much cleaner and the frequency of emptying will go down.

I also notice that the rooms smell fresher. I'm assuming that this has to do with the HEPA filter which is supposedly one of the best in the business. I couldn't wash the HEPA filter on my prior vacuum and I was thrilled to find out that this one has a lifetime washable design. Big thumbs up from me on that.

The suction on this upright is amazing, no doubt. Keep this in mind when you have to use it on throw rugs or anything that is delicate. You can turn the brush off and I recommend doing that on things like oriental rugs or you will see many fibers get sucked up into the vacuum. The DC25 is a serious machine and should be treated as such.

The Ball is a cool design too. Overall it is easy to use but it is a bit heavier than our prior model was. I find that the extra weight is useful in pushing it down into the carpet, and probably a big reason that it removes so much debris each time. If you are used to a really light vacuum though you might want to take a Dyson for a spin first.

What else can I say? The DC25 Animal is well built and based on many other reviews about Dyson I don't think I'll have any problems with it. Well worth the money, especially if you have long haired animals living in your home.
