The Electrolux EL5020A Intensity is a powerful upright vacuum cleaner that really doesn't take up much space. In fact it is about 1/3 the size of the vacuum it is replacing in our house (an old Hoover upright). The Intensity is just as easy to push as the self propelled Hoover but much lighter, yet just as powerful.

One thing that is lacking on the Electrolux is the number of settings as compared to other vacuums. Honestly, this is a plus in my book because I never used all of those gadgets and what not. However, if you need a hose and many attachments then this isn't the cleaner for you.

As far as cleaning ability it really does a nice job. The suction is up there with anything I've used. Our older carpets look better than they have in years. It also makes the transition from rug to hard floor very easily, with the touch of a button. The cord length is so-so, around 20 feet. It's easy to retract for storage.

The thing that really sets this vacuum cleaner apart from the competition is the compact design. It can be folded up and put away in any sized closet when it's not in use. This is not always possible with other cleaners, depending on how big they are. I recommend the Electrolux Intensity to anybody who wants a very good upright vacuum that doesn't take up a lot of space.
