The compact Electrolux Twin Clean does things that other canister vacuum cleaners can't. It's quite powerful yet light enough to carry up and down flights of stairs. This is important because the other vacuums I looked at were just too heavy to lug around the house. I also needed one with a flexible enough power head that it would fit under my bed. This is a great feature of this model as it will lay down almost completely flat while still providing max power.

The various controls are conveniently placed on the handle which gives you quick access to the suction and floor type settings. You also have different lights to tell you what level of suction you are using which is a nice feature. You also get a crevice tool and a dusting brush for cleaning a variety of things and a nice upholstery brush for your furniture.

It's nice not having to pick stuff out of the filter as the Twin Clean actually cleans the filter for you. This helps the vacuum maintain higher suction and means you always have a clean filter ready to go. The dust chamber is simple to empty and a simple press of the lever will dump the contents into the garbage. Just be careful when doing this to avoid a huge cloud of dust coming out of the garbage and onto everything in the area.

When using it for the first time I was pretty surprised at how much junk it picked up out of my carpets. I thought they were pretty clean but I guess not. It seemed to pull out dirt that was really embedded down in the fibers even though I had been regularly vacuuming with my other vacuum cleaner. The performance is really great.

The only thing I don't like about the Electrolux Twin Clean is it's kinda noisy but I just figure it's just working so hard at removing dirt and dust. Overall it's a very modern looking piece of equipment that does the job well. The price is a bit more than some other canister vacuums but you definitely get enough performance to justify it.
