Electrolux EL8502A Versatility Upright Vacuum Cleaner

Love this vacuum but it is HEAVY

I bought the Electrolux Versatility bagless to replace my upright Dyson vacuum cleaner that was broken. It was getting pretty old and I didn't really want to put any money in it. I also didn't want to spend upwards of $500 to buy a new one so I opted for a less expensive Electrolux. I had read a lot about their vacuums and they seem to be highly rated.

Ultimately I decided on the Versatility based on some reviews I read on various websites, which were quite positive. I have a couple big dogs as well as some stairs and I needed something to really get the hair and dander out of my carpets. After using the Versatility I can say that it picks up more hair than the Dyson I used to own. The anti odor HEPA filter also works great on my home and my visitors sometimes comment that they cannot even tell that animals lived here.

I like that this vacuum is not very big either so I can get it into corners very easily. One thing I don't like about it is the weight. It is quite heavy and not easy for me to lug up and down my stairs which is why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5. I love the performance but feel they could make it with lighter materials. On the bright side it does feel like it will hold up to a lot of use which is what I'm gonna do with it. I find myself vacuuming the house at least twice per week.

Overall I recommend the Electrolux EL8502A Versatility as it has a lot of suction power and is built to last. Many upright vacuum cleaners you buy are cheaply built and only last for a year or so. I expect that this one will be with me for quite a bit longer.
