Way better than the bagless vacuum cleaners

We bought the Hoover Platinum bagged upright vacuum cleaner with the extra attachment canister for our 2,000 square foot house and we love it. We have many hardwood and tile floors with a couple throw rugs but we still like to have an upright. Our prior two vacuums were bagless so we wanted to try something different, or something that didn't get you all dusty when you were emptying it. We looked around at several brands and even tried out an Oreck in addition to this one but we decided on the Hoover. It was cheaper in price and delivered the same performance. It really cleans so much better than any of my prior vacuum cleaners. I love the fact that there is no dust blowing out onto the machine when I'm vacuuming.

My wife is pregnant and this thing is so lightweight she can easily use it. Seriously, this thing weighs almost nothing and it still has a lot of suction power. And speaking of suction, the Platinum really sucks up EVERYTHING you throw at it. I have to be careful around our light oriental rugs so I don't suck them up too. We both have fun vacuuming with it, believe it or not. It's nice to have a clean home again.

We also like the long cord on it. We can clean our huge family room without even changing outlets on it. And changing the bag is simple. You won't find yourself doing this often though because the dirt bags are HUGE. With my prior bagless vacuum I was constantly emptying the canister and cleaning the filter in it. This design is much better.

The attachment canister is also a great idea. It just makes sense to have the various attachments separate from the main vacuum cleaner. We have several animals in our home and this thing makes quick work of pet hair and little dust bunnies.

The Hoover Platinum bagged upright is highly recommended. Just read some of the reviews and you will see how great it is. Well worth the money.
