Great vacuum cleaner with a little downside

First off, the Hoover S3670 Windtunnel Anniversary Edition canister vacuum cleaner is great. It really has amazing suction at a relatively low price. I also find that it cleans carpets just as good as hard floors which is not always the case with canister vacuums. One thing to think about though is if you are using it on a cheapo throw rug you should turn off the beater bar. I have ruined more than one of my carpets this way. This really was my fault though and not something I can blame Hoover for.

I like the fact that it is bagged as well. I know that some people prefer bagless but I find that bags work better because they seal up air tight. It also cleans crevices and difficult to reach places due to its' low profile. I really haven't found much that I don't like but there are a couple small things.

For starters the bare floor attachment doesn't work that well. I went to Sears and bought their unit for a couple dollars. It works much better. The beater bar does not have an adjustable height so if you have a thicker carpet I would advise against using it. The hose also seems to be smaller in diameter than some other canister vacuum cleaners I looked at but it does fit the attachments well. Doesn't seem to affect performance but I'm not picking up larger debris either. Just something to consider.

I used a Kenmore for many years and thought it was great until I bought the Hoover S3670. My new Hoover Windtunnel is the best I've used even though there are some things they could improve on. For the money it is hard to find a better canister vacuum.
