Our family recently purchased the Miele S163 Universal upright for our new vacuum cleaner as we heard it was good for allergies and pet hair while not being too expensive. We decided to add the hepa filter which was a great idea as we have pets in our household. After reading some other reviews we figured this smaller Miele was great for a home like ours which has some carpets and hardwoods without a huge area to clean every week.

The S163 vacuum cleaner has a little bit of top heavy feel to it but it is not that bad. The suction is excellent and it moves around nicely. It vacuums very well and seems to suck a lot of dirt and other stuff out of our carpets that we didn't think was there. Since it is small it also goes into our closet easily. We hang it on a hook to keep it out of the way.

This Miele is also a very nice looking model which isn't the most important thing but this upright looks like it will last. I give it five stars because I don't have anything bad to say about it. After using it for a while I can say it does everything I need and then some.
