Panasonic MC-UL675 AeroSpin Bagless

Some good and some bad with this upright vacuum

We previously owned an old Panasonic bagged upright vacuum cleaner but decided to give the AeroSpin a try despite some negative reviews that I found online.

For starters, all of those bad things others have mentioned in each review I read are true. The cleaner is heavy, hard to move around, and prone to tipping when you least expect it. If you are not a strong person and need to clean multiple levels in your home then this vacuum cleaner is not the one you want to own. While it does have a decent sized vacuuming footprint it is nearly impossible to get underneath certain items like tables and furniture. The Turbo Brush attachment works ok if you don't press too hard on it, which I learned time and time again. These were the bad things I experienced with this upright.

However, it does do a very good job on its' intended chore which is sucking up dirt out of your carpets. It has some decent power and is fairly quiet compared to other vacuums that I have seen. It also has an automatic cord rewind which is a time saver over the manual winding I was used to. The hose also has a surprisingly long reach which really helps with stairs or high places. Cleaning out the dirt and dust bin is very easy and it is nice to not have to buy expensive bags for a change. The auto height adjustment seems to work well on the various styles of rugs in our house.

With everything I found wrong with it I would say that the Panasonic AeroSpin is alright for the money. It is not the most expensive vacuum cleaner so you can't expect it to be perfect. I would hope they would address some of these shortcomings in the future, or at least make it lighter and more nimble.
